N. WHITEHALL TWP., Pa – Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio has identified the motorcyclist who died after a crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike Tuesday.
Kory A. Stokes, 39, of Foster Township in Luzerne County, was pronounced dead Tuesday shortly before 5:30 p.m. at a local hospital, Buglio said in a news release.
Buglio said the cause of death is multiple traumatic injuries sustained in the crash, and the manner of death was ruled an accident.
Stokes was wearing a helmet, Buglio said.
Stokes was driving a motorcycle when he was involved in a collision with a tractor-trailer around 4:25 p.m. on the northbound side of Interstate 476 in North Whitehall Township, according to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. In addition to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office & Forensic Center, the Pennsylvania State Police-Pocono Station is conducting the crash investigation.
