Yesterday, we stopped by Weston Field Skate Park in Scranton to check out the city’s newest addition to its park and recreation scene, and the excitement was easy to feel from the moment we arrived.
Fresh off its official ribbon cutting, the new Scranton skate park is already a favorite spot for local skaters, bikers, and scooter riders. Designed by Pillar Design Studios and built by Artisan Skateparks, this project brings new energy and creativity to NEPA’s growing outdoor recreation community.
The grand opening celebration continued with Bazaar Skateshop’s “Break In The Skate Park” event, featuring a Halloween costume contest, best trick competition, and several friendly games that kept the crowd cheering all afternoon. Music, prizes, and plenty of impressive tricks filled the day as riders of all ages showed off their skills.
The skate park features smooth concrete bowls, rails, quarter pipes, and open spaces perfect for skaters to test their limits. Even before the official opening, word spread quickly throughout NEPA’s skate scene, and it has been busy ever since.
Located within Weston Field near downtown Scranton, the skate park sits alongside sports fields, playgrounds, and walking paths—making it an ideal stop for families and spectators. Open daily, it welcomes everyone to roll, ride, or simply enjoy the action.
Plan a visit to Weston Field Skate Park in Scranton and experience one of NEPA’s newest destinations for skating and outdoor fun.
