A man convicted in connection with a 2022 rape in Allentown has been sentenced to 50 to 100 years in state prison, according to a news release from Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin Holihan.

Felix Javier Pagan, 41, of Marienville, Pennsylvania, was sentenced Thursday by Judge Anna-Kristie M. Marks after a jury convicted him in November 2025 of rape by threat of forcible compulsion, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse by threat of forcible compulsion and strangulation.

According to the district attorney’s office, mandatory sentencing provisions applied because of Pagan’s prior convictions for violent crimes.

The case stems from an incident on Jan. 13, 2022, when a woman went to Allentown police headquarters and reported she had been raped at an apartment in the 200 block of North Seventh Street, where Pagan was living at the time.

The woman, who was homeless, told investigators Pagan allowed her into his apartment so she could get warm before raping and assaulting her, according to the release. She was able to escape and immediately reported the incident to police.

The district attorney’s office said DNA testing of swabs collected from the victim matched Pagan’s DNA.

Pagan is scheduled to appear at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 2 for a hearing in Lehigh Count Court to determine whether he meets the legal criteria to be designated a sexually violent predator.

The case was investigated by Detective Joseph Beiner and prosecuted by Chief Deputy District Attorney Sara A. Moyer.

Pagan’s attorney could not be immediately reached for comment.
