WYOMISSING, Pa.- A Berks County fiber internet provider has a new owner.
FastBridge Fiber of Wyomissing has been acquired by Greenlight Networks.
Financial terms of the deal, which was first announced in November of 2025, haven’t been disclosed.
FastBridge Fiber currently serves customers in the area of Buffalo, New York, as well as several Pennsylvania communities, including Reading, Shillington, Sinking Spring, West Reading and Wyomissing in Berks County.
The deal expands Greenlight’s workforce significantly, with 120 FastBridge employees joining Greenlight’s 250 employees, the company said in a news release.
Greenlight, founded in 2011, is based in Rochester, New York, and, according to the news release, currently serves more than 320,000 homes and businesses in New York, Pennsylvania and Maryland.
The company been actively expanding its footprint in the Northeast. Last year, Greenlight acquired the Scranton-based Loop Internet.
In April, Greenlight announced a $62 million expansion to bring its fiber internet network to the Lehigh Valley. More than half of that investment was earmarked for building the needed infrastructure within the city of Bethlehem.
Greenlight said it expected more than 22,000 homes and businesses to gain access to its network through the Lehigh Valley expansion.
FastBridge has updated its website to include information about the acquisition. The company said customers won’t notice any changes: customer service, billing and support remain the same.
“It’s business as usual, and there’s nothing you need to do,” the company wrote.
FastBridge also said its prices and name will remain the same, with the company promising to notify its customers well in advance if that should change.
