Erie is celebrating disability awareness, inclusion, and advocacy with its first-ever Disability Pride event today in Perry Square. The event began at 10 a.m. and will continue until 2 p.m.
The event is being organized by Voices for Independence and Disability Pride Pennsylvania and is designed to highlight disability culture while promoting accessibility, empowerment, and community engagement.

Among those scheduled to speak is Erie Mayor Daria Devlin, who will join advocates and community leaders in recognizing the contributions and experiences of people with disabilities.
