Sandra Elaine Reitz
OBITUARY
Sandra (Sandy) Elaine Reitz, 84, of Mohnton passed away on July 1st, 2026. She was the widow of Richard Clair Reitz. Sandy was a 1959 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School.
Born in Reading, PA, on November 24th, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Gladys (Piersol) Glass.
Sandy will forever be missed by her daughter Lori Hoffert, wife of Michael, Shillington; her granddaughter Erin Keller, wife of Kyle, and her great-grandsons, Everett and Finnigan Keller all of Sinking Spring. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Judy Glass, widow of Lawrence Glass Sr., and three nephews and one niece.
If Sandy was not at home, she would be gardening or volunteering throughout Berks County, going on day trips with her family, or spending time with her granddaughter and great-grandsons. She was a Penn State Master Gardener, re-enactor at numerous historical sites, and an active member of the Mohnton community. You could often find her sitting outside on her side porch.
Sandy’s viewing will take place on Thursday, July 9th, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM in Bean Funeral Home, 129 E. Lancaster Ave. Shillington, where a funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM. Interment to follow in Pleasant View Cemetery.
The family prefers remembrances in the form of contributions in Sandy’s memory to the Friends of Nolde Forest or Heartland Hospice of Wyomissing.
