A Delaware woman who robbed a Salisbury Township bank in 2023 will spend up to four years in prison for the crime.
Kesha Denine Walker, 50, of Wilmington, stole nearly $3,000 from the Truist Bank at 790 Route 41 on June 8, 2023. Surveillance footage showed Walker, wearing a hooded sweatshirt and gloves, handing a teller a note demanding cash and claiming she was armed with a gun, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office.
Walker fled with $2,900 in cash.
Three months after the Truist Bank robbery, Walker was arrested and charged with robbing a WSFS Bank in Delaware County, according to the district attorney’s office. After she was arrested, she confessed to the Salisbury Township bank robbery.
Walker pleaded guilty to robbery, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property in the Truist Bank robbery and was sentenced by Lancaster County Judge Dennis Reinaker in late June to two to four years in prison. She also was banned from the Salisbury Township bank.
For the Delaware County bank robbery, Walker pleaded guilty in April 2024 to robbery and was sentenced to six to 12 months in prison and was ordered to stay away from the bank.
