There’s plenty of fun and plenty of fins at the Camden Adventure Aquarium.  

Shark & Ray Summer returns this weekend (July 13 through Aug. 16) to the New Jersey venue with a lineup of interactive experiences—including seven fresh attractions.

Throughout the Aquarium during the activation, guests can meet Gill the Shark, participate in shark- and ray-themed games, or check out a puppet show at The Boardwalk, where young visitors can also nab a wearable Shark Crown. 2026 also brings fresh themed photo installations and educational programming—like the All About Eagle Rays talk, where Aquarium experts will share insights into the biology, history and conservation of the venue’s newly introduced spotted eagle rays, helping guests better understand the importance of protecting these ocean animals.

Philadelphians can also check out the new Shark & Ray Lab, an interactive space where visitors can experience what it’s like to work as a marine biologist with authentic biofacts, a mock shark examination stretcher and water-quality testing activities. Overall, the lab offers a peek into the science and daily care that keep the Aquarium’s animals healthy.

This year also brings the Aquarium’s Shark Feed Tours, a limited-time offering with exclusive access to weekly shark feeding sessions in both the Shark Realm and Ocean Realm. Guided by Aquarium staff, guests will witness firsthand how the animal care team feeds and monitors these predators while also getting an up-close view of the spotted eagle rays.

“Spotted eagle rays are an incredible species of stingray that are critical to the ocean ecosystem. Stingrays and sharks are close evolutionary cousins, sharing the same environment and a unique and ancient cartilaginous bond,” said Alicia Longo, Collections, Conservation & Development Coordinator. “By expanding our annual Shark Summer program to celebrate both, we are able to give guests a much more complete picture of how these fascinating creatures coexist and shape our oceans.”

For the older crowd, adults 21 and older can experience Shark & Ray Summer during the venue’s first-ever Sunset with the Sharks on Friday, July 24. The unique after-hours event combines Aquarium access with immersive lighting, curated music, photo moments, ocean-themed cocktails and shark-themed programs with up-close animal experiences. Sunset with the Sharks also includes “The Ultimate Date Night Package” option, with after-hours access for two, a drink and a commemorative 6×8 photo print for each guest.
