ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Thomas Jefferson University will be expanding its Sidney Kimmel Medical College to the Lehigh Valley, according to a news release.
School officials will be announcing a new region campus of Sidney Kimmel Medical College on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at One Center Square in Allentown, the news release said.
The expansion will bring access to world-class medical education and clinal training to the Lehigh Valley region, officials said.
“The Lehigh Valley is one of Pennsylvania’s fastest-growing regions and faces increasing demand for physicians and healthcare professionals. The expansion plans will build on Jefferson’s longstanding clinical education partnership in the region and will help create a sustainable pipeline of physicians to meet the growing healthcare needs of the community,” the news release states.
Interviews with Jefferson leadership and elected officials, and building tours will be available following the press event, according to the news release.
