BERN TOWNSHIP, Pa. — It’s all about the animals at the Berks County fair on Thursday.
Dozens of cows from across the county made the trek to Bern Township for the dairy show.
Cows of all shapes and sizes lined up to be judged on a number of factors, including bone structure and udder shape.
Contestants spent years raising and cultivating their herds, and they say they hoped to see all their hard work pay off with a win.
“I’ve been doing this since I was six-years-old,” said Alexis Servin of Bernville. “I finally got my first Ayrshire calf, Charisma, in 2020, and my herd has flourished since then.”
The fun continues Thursday night with the annual Tractor Pull, starting at 6:30 p.m..
