(WHTM) — Fair season in Central Pennsylvania is getting underway.
The Commonwealth features over 100 county and local fairs highlighting the best of our communities and their heritage, history, and commerce, dating back decades and, in some cases, over a century.
Pennsylvania bill would ban ‘State Fair’ names
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, fairs generate over $1 billion in economic impact to their communities.
The first fairs this year in our area, the Franklin County Fair and the Mason Dixon Fair, wrap up Saturday.
