EXETER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Final preparations are underway for the 34th annual Belt Sander Charity Race in Exeter Township.
The folks at Bertie’s Inn have been busy putting up tents and moving bleachers into place.
Hundreds of people are expected to ride across the track between 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday.
In addition to the races, there will also be goats to pet, live music, food, and children’s activities.
“The race is absolutely the main feature, but we also have raffle baskets that local businesses have donated… and also silent auctions,” said owner Patty Miravich. “It has absolutely gotten bigger every year… over 800 people showed up last year.”
The money raised this year will go to The Greater Reading Mental Health Alliance.
That’s a nonprofit that promotes mental health recovery and wellness for children and adults.
