EMMAUS, Pa. – The East Penn School Board approved the administration’s June bill list Monday, including nearly $1 million in payments for ongoing facilities improvements across the district.
Among the approved payments were two June invoices totaling about $750,000 to Harrisburg-based McClure Company for HVAC replacement work at Jefferson Elementary School, according to board documents.
The work is part of a broader district effort to modernize school facilities. In 2023, the board approved a more than $4.4 million performance-based energy savings agreement with McClure Company to improve building efficiency and reduce long-term operating costs.
Then, work began at Macungie Elementary School, where upgrades included HVAC systems, LED lighting, ceilings, classroom technology, public address and clock systems, security improvements, whiteboards, gymnasium renovations and partition wall improvements.
The board also approved more than $150,000 in June invoices to Johnson Controls Building Solutions LLC for additional district building projects.
The payments were included in the administration’s monthly bill list approved unanimously by the board.
