Systemwide credit/debit card service outage hits PATCO – NBC10 Philadelphia

PATCO was experiencing systemwide issues with credit and debit card services during the Tuesday morning commute.

Officials with PATCO alerted riders to the issue at about 7:46 a.m. on Tuesday.

⚠️ We are experiencing a credit/debit card outage at this time. Tickets cannot be purchased with a credit/debit card. We apologize for the inconvenience. Updates to follow.

In the alert, PATCO said riders were unable to purchase tickets with credit or debit cards because of the service outage.

Also, in a follow up alert, PATCO said some riders were being told their cards were invalid during the outage.

PATCO officials have not said how long the outage may last. But, on social media, the mass transit provider said it would provide updates.
