BETHLEHEM, Pa. – If you’re looking for a sweet way to spend the weekend, Bethlehem has you covered.
The annual Blueberry Festival is back, and it’s serving up everything from pies to live music and family fun.
The festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Historic Burnside Plantation on 1461 Schoenersville Road.
People can enjoy blueberry-themed food and drinks such as blueberry-infused grilled cheese and blueberry lemonade, the Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites website says. Dozens of artisans and craft vendors will also be on hand at the festival.
Beth Beatty, Special Events Manager at Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites, said the festival really brings the Historic Burnside Plantation to life.
She said families and kids will be able to enjoy tons of activities, which is in its 39th year.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with the community,” she said.
Museum Sites Education Manager Keith Sten said families will be able to check out animals at the farm, as well as historical activities and scavenger hunts.
Destinee Schulz with Christmas City Spirits said the company been at the festival for a few years now. It will be offering various drink items, including a blush sangria with a blueberry and blueberry lemonade.
Chef Tommy Steel, co-owner of The Taste Budz, said blueberry shrimp tacos and blueberry bourbon pecan jam chicken sandwich will be among the items the vendor will offer.
