UPPER MILFORD TWP., Pa. – Police said a truck driver is dead following an accident on Route 29 in the area of Beck Road in Upper Milford Township Thursday.
It happened around 12:30 p.m.
We spoke with one woman who said she was nearby at the time. She asked to remain anonymous.
“We saw that a truck lost his brakes and then we saw he had the door opened and he kept driving up onto the side of the grass area,” she said.
The woman we spoke with said the truck almost flipped over going around the bend near her.
“We called 911 to tell them there was probably going to be an accident at the bottom of the hill,” she said.
Power was knocked out for around 45 customers in the area.
“It was pretty much gut-wrenching because we had no control, but we knew something bad was about to happen,” she said.
The name of the driver who died has not been released. Police said nobody else was involved in this accident.
