Two Scranton men face multiple felony charges after authorities seized drugs and guns from a Linden Street apartment Thursday, according to the Lackawanna County district attorney’s office.
Law enforcement officials served a search warrant at 1701 Linden St., Apt. 6, as part of an ongoing investigation into illegal drug activity.
Officers took Joseph De Jesus Martinez, 32, and Fruquan Arleek Roper, 44, into custody.
During the search, investigators seized about 1.5 pounds of methamphetamine, 3.64 ounces of powder cocaine, 10 ounces of processed marijuana and 90 Suboxone strips.
Officers also recovered two handguns, five loaded magazines, a large quantity of ammunition and drug paraphernalia, including a digital scale. Documents found at the scene linked both men to the residence.
Both Martinez and Roper are prohibited from possessing firearms due to prior felony convictions.
The charges filed include multiple counts of possession with intent to deliver controlled substances, possession of controlled substances and illegal possession of firearms.
Both men remain at Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $125,000 bail, with preliminary hearings scheduled for 9 a.m. on July 30 before District Judge Paul Keeler.
