BETHLEHEM, Pa. – ArtsQuest has announced a series of workshops and classes to experience hands-on artmaking for community members.
The first round of Air Products MakerSpace workshops introduces a brand-new creative concept for the organization and represents an exciting expansion of its mission to make the arts accessible, participatory, and rooted in community, according to ArtsQuest.
This new space inside the ArtsQuest Creative Factory, powered by PPL, will allow artists, hobbyists, students, families, and curious beginners to move beyond observing art and into the process of making it, says ArtsQuest.
“By providing community access to cutting-edge tools, technologies, and hands-on learning experiences, the MakerSpace will inspire creativity, encourage exploration across disciplines, and empower people of all ages to develop new skills and bring their ideas to life,” said Allison Quinn, manager, Air Products Corporate Relations.
The space offers opportunities to learn, build, and create through hands-on instruction, supervised studio access, and community-driven projects, says the organization.
According to ArtsQuest, at the MakerSpace, participants will find:
“We wanted to build a schedule that is welcoming, practical, and hands-on, giving participants of all experience levels the chance to build foundational skills, explore new techniques, work with new tools, and leave with something they created themselves. This initial lineup is just the beginning of what the MakerSpace can become as we continue to grow programming around the interests and creativity of our community,” said Steve Ott, ArtsQuest Vice President of Operations and External Projects.
The first round of MakerSpace workshops and classes will begin Nov. 5, 2026, and will include:
