ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The attorney for a former Allentown police officer accused of having sex with prostitutes says investigators influenced witness identification in the case.
Jason Krasley was arrested in 2024 and charged with a slew of crimes related to his time with the vice squad.
Krasley has been fighting charges he had sex with prostitutes while on the job at APD since January 2025.
In a new filing, Krasley’s attorney says in at least one instance, investigators allegedly influenced the outcome.
The new filing has images from recorded interviews with an accuser identified as AV.
The images show the two detectives who worked the Krasley case showing the woman a lineup of men and says when the woman could not immediately identify anyone, the detectives acted in a way that influenced her to pick Krasley’s photo.
Because of this alleged tainted identification process, Krasley’s attorney is asking for it to be withheld and the case involving AV be dismissed.
Krasley faces two other cases involving two separate women.
A judge is expected to rule on the motion in the coming weeks.
We reached out to the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office about the filing. A DA spokesperson says the DA has no comment and that the case was referred to the state Attorney General’s Office for prosecution.
