A new Amazon overstock store will open this weekend in Bethlehem, just two months after one opened in Allentown.
Mr. Bins will open 10 a.m. this Sunday at 104 E. Third St., CEO Sholom Butman said in a written statement, offering items such as clothes, shoes, mattresses and mystery boxes.
A store previously opened in May at a former Big Lots in Allentown, and the Bethlehem one will operate at a former Rite Aid pharmacy.
“First things first — a huge thank you to everyone who covered our Allentown grand opening. Seriously, it meant a lot,” Butman said. “The turnout was incredible, the deals were flying, and the people of the Lehigh Valley showed up BIG. It was a win for us, but honestly? It was more of a win for the community. The number of families who walked out with crazy value that day was something we’re really proud of.”
He clarified that while much of Mr. Bins’ inventory comes from Amazon, it is not directly affiliated with the online retailer.
“We take truckloads of major retailer overstock, spread it across giant bins, and price it to move — starting at just a few bucks an item,” Butman said. “It’s a treasure hunt every single week, and people go absolutely wild for it. Our other locations have lines out the door on reset day. It’s a whole thing.”
