A Yeadon teen has been charged with attempting to shoot four people in Darby over a turf dispute.
Khalif Mateen, 17, of the 1200 block of Alfred Drive was taken into custody Monday afternoon and charged with attempted homicide and firearms offenses.

Darby Police Chief Joseph Gabe said Mateen has a history of gun violence in the Darby area.
According to the criminal complaint filed by Detective Anthony Salvatore:
On July 5 about 10 p.m., police and medics were dispatched to the unit block of South Fifth Street for a gunshot victim.
Police found eight shell casings in the street. The victim told police a male, later identified as Mateen, walked up to him and his three cousins as they were in front of a smoke shop in the 400 block of Main Street.
Mateen asked where they were from, what block, they claimed.
Mateen then walked away and was pacing around, the victim said. As the four were leaving, Mateen started shooting at them. They fled for their safety.
No one was struck.
Review of surveillance video in the area captured a clear view of the shooter’s face, who police identified as Mateen.
Mateen has been adjudicated for robbery and possession of a firearm in a prior case, and in the attempted shooting, police have charged him as an adult.
Mateen was arraigned and his bail was set at 10% of $1.5 million. Unable to post bail, he was remanded to the George W. Hill Correctional Facility. Additional court details were not yet available.
Mateen was the second juvenile arrested in a week on gun violence charges in Darby.
The recent incidents were only a block apart. Police have not said if there was a connection.
