EXETER, Pa. – A 39-year-old man of Exeter has been arrested for possession of an estimated $16,800 worth of drugs and 15 firearms, according to the Berks County District Attorney.
The suspect, Adalberto Acevedo Jr., has been formally charged and arraigned, with his bail set at $250,000, The DA’s office said.
According to the DA, on Wednesday, the Berks County Drug Task Force and additional police departments completed a search of a residence on Overlook Drive, Exeter Township.
The DA says the following evidence was seized from the home:
Approximately four pounds of marijuana
Approximately 60 grams of cocaine
Five digital scales, with suspected drug residue
Packaging materials commonly used for the distribution of narcotics
Assorted ammunition and firearm magazines
$37,333 in United States currency is believed to be the proceeds of illegal drug sales
15 firearms, including nine handguns and six rifles
According to attorneys, Acevedo’s charges include:
Possession With Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (Felony)
Possession of a Controlled Substance (Misdemeanor)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Misdemeanor)
Persons Not to Possess, Use, Manufacture, Control, Sell, or Transfer Firearms (Felony)
The investigation revealed Acevedo had previously been convicted of felony drug offenses, making him prohibited under Pennsylvania law from possessing or controlling firearms, say officials.
