Officers arrested a 51-year-old Dickson City man Wednesday after he allegedly made death threats directed at law enforcement, judges, and state lawmakers on social media.
The United States Secret Service initially received a referral from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, National Threat Center, regarding online Facebook posts made by Stacy W. Mann containing death threats to government officials and law enforcement officers.
State police conducted a joint investigation with the Secret Service and found evidence showing that Mann indicated his intent to “live-stream” the murders of law enforcement officers, state senators and representatives, judges, district attorneys, and other government officials.
According to a release from the Pennsylvania State Police, Stacy W. Mann was taken into custody without incident following an investigation led by the PSP’s Political Violence Threat Unit.
Mann is charged with making terroristic threats and other related offenses.
