Beer on the Bay is packing Rebich Investments Amphitheater today as hundreds turn out for Erie’s biggest craft brew festival of the year.
Beer lovers filled the park for the first session, which ran from noon until 3 p.m.
Another wave of Beer on the Bay fans turned out for the second session.
More than 50 craft brewers are pouring everything from seasonal ales to specialty IPAs.
More than 20 local vendors and food trucks joined the festivities.
There was also live music and a silent disco.
A portion of the proceeds will support the animal rescue work of The ANNA Shelter.
“My first time being here. My best friend told me about it. He’s been coming for a few years, and I decided to drive 2 1/2 hours. I’m from Central PA to check it out, and I love all the great selection that I’m seeing here today,” Anthony, a visitor, shared.
“So coming out, supporting local breweries, supporting local vendors, and also supporting The ANNA Shelter, who we donate to for this event, it’s really important to all of us,” Tyler Wigfield, general manager of Erie Brewing Company, explained.
“I think that people don’t truly appreciate how many different local vendors there really are here, and it puts a big highlight on the city of Erie,” Josh, a fifth-year attendee, said.
