EASTON, Pa. – An Easton organization that provides care and support to children and families say its Executive Director will step down after 44 years with the group.
Children’s Home of Easton Executive Director Anita Jo Paukovits will retire at the end of this year, with her official retirement date set for Jan. 8, 2027, the organization said in a news release.
The organization said Paukovits joined The Children’s Home of Easton as a direct care staff member in 1982 and advanced through the organization over four decades.
She served in a variety of leadership roles before being named Executive Director in 2015, according to the news release.
Under her leadership, The Children’s Home of Easton has strengthened its programs, expanded services, enhanced community partnerships, and increased its impact throughout the Lehigh Valley and beyond, the organization said.
The Board of Directors started a comprehensive search for the organization’s next Executive Director, according to the news release.
An announcement regarding Paukovits’ successor is expected later this year.
“It has been an incredible honor to serve The Children’s Home of Easton for more than four decades,” said Paukovits.
“I am deeply grateful to our dedicated staff, Board of Directors, donors, volunteers, and community partners whose commitment makes this important work possible every day. I have every confidence that the organization will continue to thrive and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families for years to come.”
“The Board of Directors is deeply grateful for Anita’s extraordinary leadership and unwavering dedication to our mission,” said Arden Miller, Chair of the Board of Directors.
“Her vision, compassion, and commitment have strengthened this organization in countless ways, leaving a lasting legacy that will benefit generations of children and families. While we will certainly miss her leadership, we are committed to ensuring a thoughtful transition and building upon the strong foundation she has established.”
