(WHTM) — The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) announced the recall of cookies that were sold at Lidl stores in several states, including in Pennsylvania.
According to the FDA, Lidl US is recalling all units of its Eridanous Shortbread Cookies with Chocolate Truffle Coating & Apricot Filling 11.6 oz (UPC 4056489125839) due to undeclared wheat, soy, milk, and egg allergens.

The FDA notes that the recalled shortbread cookies have their ingredients and nutrition facts panel written in a foreign language.
Officials say that people who have an allergy or sensitivity to wheat, soy, milk, or eggs run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products.
Thus far, no illnesses have been reported in relation to the recall.
These recalled cookies were distributed between July 15, 2026, and July 22, 2026, to all Lidl US retail stores in Delaware, District of Columbia, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Virginia.
Looking ahead, customers with an allergy or sensitivity to wheat, soy, milk, or eggs should not consume the product and instead discard it or return it to the nearest Lidl store for a full refund (receipt not required).
