BETHLEHEM – A 22-year-old was struck in the head by a falling branch last week while a tree was being cut down behind a home on Canterbury Lane, police confirmed Tuesday.
The man was hit around 3:57 p.m. Wednesday after the tree being cut down struck a different tree, breaking off a branch, Deputy Chief James L. Rexford said. Emergency medical workers and firefighters from the Delmar and Slingerlands fire departments responded.
The man was brought to Albany Medical Center in serious condition, Rexford said, but his current condition was not known.
