Man walks into Pittsburgh hospital with multiple stab wounds; suspect arrested
PITTSBURGH —
A man was taken into custody Wednesday night after police said one person walked into a Pittsburgh hospital after being stabbed multiple times.
Pittsburgh Public Safety officials said they were called to the 600 block of East North Avenue following multiple 911 calls reporting a man had been stabbed.
Responding officers found evidence of a crime at the scene, though the victim was no longer present.
Shortly thereafter, officers received information that a man with stab wounds had arrived at the hospital on foot. He was last reported to be in stable condition.
While searching the area, a Pittsburgh Police detective located a man matching the description of the suspect at Concord Street and Madison Avenue.
The man was questioned by police and later taken into custody.
Officials have charged the individual with aggravated assault. He is now being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
