Pennsylvania offers $100 energy bill assistance for low-income households
Pennsylvania’s Department of Human Services is offering a one-time $100 payment to assist eligible low-income households with rising energy costs.
The payment is available to homes that receive support from the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and have at least one family member who is a child six years old or younger, is age 60 or older, or has a disability.
The Shapiro administration said the supplemental payment will be distributed directly to the household’s utility provider and automatically applied to an outstanding heating or current energy bill.
LIHEAP is a 100% federally funded program, and this additional payment is made possible by remaining funds from the 2025–2026 season.
