HARRISBURG, Pa. – Gov. Josh Shapiro is paying tribute to a Berks County icon.
He invited the family of Kutztown native Keith Haring to the Governor’s Residence this week.
Haring was a world-renowned pop artist and advocate for the LGBTQ community.
He died from AIDS in 1990.
Haring’s artwork is still displayed around the world. Shapiro says each piece is a reminder that Pennsylvania is welcoming for all.
