11 Susquehanna Valley standouts selected for Pennsylvania’s Big 26 high school baseball classic
HARRISBURG, Pa. —
Eleven high school baseball players from the Susquehanna Valley have earned spots on Pennsylvania’s roster for the 2026 Big 26 Baseball Classic.
The three-game series against Maryland will be played Friday, July 31, through Sunday, Aug. 2, at FNB Field on City Island in Harrisburg, according to organizers.

Eleven of the 26 players on Pennsylvania’s roster are from Susquehanna Valley schools:
Avery Chenoweth, Kennard-Dale, Class of 2027 — First base Calvin Collier, Mechanicsburg, Class of 2028 — Infield Grant Enders, Cedar Cliff, Class of 2027 — Catcher Cameron McClair, Columbia, Class of 2027 — Pitcher Gavin Myers, Trinity, Class of 2027 — Catcher Blake Secrest, Cedar Cliff, Class of 2027 — Pitcher/outfield Giovanni Sisti, Kennard-Dale, Class of 2027 — Infield Bradyn Sober, Carlisle, Class of 2027 — Outfield Rylan Ulrich, Lower Dauphin, Class of 2027 — Pitcher/infield Carter Wagaman, New Oxford, Class of 2027 — Pitcher Landon Zaring, Newport, Class of 2027 — Pitcher
Organizers said more than 150 rising juniors and seniors graduating in 2027 and 2028 participated in tryouts across Pennsylvania and Maryland.
Game schedule
The series will take place at FNB Field Friday through Sunday.
Game 1: Friday, July 31, at 6:30 p.m. Game 2: Saturday, Aug. 1, at 4:35 p.m. Game 3: Sunday, Aug. 2, at 1:05 p.m.
Single-game tickets cost $11.50, while a $30 weekend wristband includes admission to all three games, according to organizers.
Opportunity to play before college coaches, scouts
The Big 26 Baseball Classic gives rising prospects an opportunity to compete in front of college coaches and professional scouts. Organizers said representatives from approximately 30 to 40 NCAA programs typically attend the event.
The classic has featured several players who went on to attract attention at the professional level. During the 2026 MLB Draft, the Philadelphia Phillies selected 2022 Big 26 alumnus Deven Sheerin (Exeter High School ’23), while the Toronto Blue Jays selected fellow alumnus Brayden Martin (St. John’s High School ’23).
The four-day experience is designed to resemble a minor league baseball series, with players staying, eating and traveling together.
More than baseball
Players will also participate in the event’s Buddy Program, which pairs them with people ages 5 to 21 who have physical or developmental challenges. Buddies are invited to participate in a game and other activities throughout the weekend.
“We’re excited to host the Big 26 again this summer. It’s always the highlight of the year for us,” said Gregg Cook, executive director of the Hershey Harrisburg Sports & Events Authority.
