Penguins lock up Tommy Novak with 3-year extension through 2030 in Pittsburgh
Novak is signed through 2029-2030
PITTSBURGH —
Penguins forward Tommy Novak signed a contract that will keep him in Pittsburgh through the 2029-2030 season.
The three-year extension carries an average annual value of $4.65 million. Novak was set to become an unrestricted free agent after the upcoming season.
In 82 games with the Penguins last year, Novak scored 16 goals and added 26 assists. He was the only Penguin to dress for all 82 games.
The Minnesota native played college hockey at the University of Minnesota and played for team USA at this year’s World Championship. He led the team with seven assists and eight games in the tournament.
Novak has four years remaining on his contract, which is the most of any forward on the roster.
