Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show
The Philadelphia Museum of Art Contemporary Craft Show is set to return this weekend, and once again, visitors can find a broad showcase of work from creatives peppered around the PA Convention Center over the course of three days. Set for Friday, Nov. 7, to Sunday, Nov. 9, this year’s event will feature 195 artists from across the country, spanning 13 different categories of craft.
Visitors will be able to peruse through different mediums, including metal, basketry, paper and everything in between, with several artists showcasing in multiple categories. All artists’ work is available for purchase, and each artist will keep all of the proceeds from their sales. Each day will also hold different activities (some of which are immersive), with a full list of offerings available online.
The show kicks off with a Preview Night on Thursday, Nov. 6, from 4 to 9 p.m. Preview tickets grant access to this special cocktail event, plus entry to the entire show for all four days. It also gives you the chance to mix and mingle with all of the different artists involved in this creative extravaganza on a more intimate level. ‘Year of the Spy’ at Carpenter’s Hall
Next year is now dubbed the “Year of the Spy” at Carpenter’s Hall in commemoration of the 250th anniversary of Benjamin Franklin’s secret meetings with French spy, Julien-Alexandre Achard de Bonvouloir. To learn more, locals can delve into some inside history on spies by visiting the venue throughout 2026.
There, Charles and Nancy Cook’s book “The Spies at Carpenters’ Hall: A Blueprint for a Revolution” is available for purchase, and locals can also learn about a trip members of the Carpenters’ Company recently took to Normandy to meet with Bonvouloir’s descendants and see his estate’s exhibit about the French Alliance.
