Scranton Shakespeare Festival presents Alice by Heart at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Scranton on select dates from July 30 through August 2, 2026.
Inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, this imaginative musical follows Alice Spencer during the London Blitz of World War II. Faced with loss, uncertainty and first love, Alice escapes into the fantastical world of Wonderland, where imagination becomes a source of comfort and strength.
Blending whimsical fantasy with heartfelt storytelling, Alice by Heart explores themes of grief, resilience and the power of creativity during difficult times. The musical offers a moving and inventive interpretation of a beloved literary classic while highlighting the importance of hope and human connection.
