Trisha Sheptak Thiede
OBITUARY
Trisha Sheptak Thiede peacefully passed into heaven on August 1, 2026, after a lengthy illness. Trisha was the daughter of Leona D. Gaydosh, Union Dale, and Stephen M. Sheptak, East Stroudsburg. She was a graduate of Forest City Regional High School and Katharine Gibbs School of Business.
Before her illness, Trisha was an expert skier. She could be found at Elk Mountain almost every weekend in winter and often weeknights too. When her illness no longer allowed her to ski, she took up needlework, creating beautiful pictures. She also enjoyed gardening and birdwatching. Prior to her illness, she was an executive assistant at Gerber Associates Real Estate. Trish was a wonderful daughter, a loving sister, and a devoted aunt.
In addition to her parents Leona and Stephen (Mathilda), she is survived by her sister, Laurie Gery (Michael) nephew Aidan, niece Aurora, aunts, uncle, and many cousins.
She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Frank and Leona Gaydosh, paternal grandparents Steve and Marian Sheptak, and two cousins Jake Madrid and Jordan Underwood, who were dear to her, as well as uncles and an aunt. Trish had many great neighbors, friends, and coworkers over the years. The family would like to thank Kathy Ferraro and Joann Figueroa for their friendship and loving care.
The funeral services with Divine Liturgy will be Friday, August 7th, at 10:00 AM in St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 306 Susquehanna St., Forest City, to be celebrated by the Rev. Roman Vasylyka, pastor. Interment will follow in Union Dale Cemetery. All those attending are asked to meet at the church.
