Reading Hospital expands electrophysiology lab to provide additional cardiac care services  | Reading Area

READING, Pa.- Reading Hospital expanded its Electrophysiology Laboratory at Miller Heart Center to provide more local cardiac care services. 

The Reading Hospital Foundation raised $4.6 million to afford the expansion, Reading Hospital said in a news release. 

Reading Hospital’s renovated lab can diagnose and treat heart failure, stroke, and other conditions quickly, according to the release. 

Physicians and care teams can perform more advanced procedures, according to the report. 

“This project demonstrates what is possible when a community invests in its own healthcare future,” Katherine Thornton, President of the Reading Hospital Foundation said. “The generosity of our donors made this expansion possible and will help more patients receive life-saving cardiac care close to home.”
