National sneakers chain to open new stores in Allentown, Bethlehem

A national chain for sneakers, hats, streetwear and accessories will soon open new stores in Allentown and Bethlehem.

SNIPES will open later this month at the Plaza West Mall at 1616 Allen St. in Allentown, according to Tanya Terrell. She will be the manager for the Bethlehem location scheduled to open in October at the Lehigh Shopping Center on Union Boulevard in Bethlehem.

The new stores will join the Lehigh Valley’s only other SNIPES location at the Palmer Park Mall in Palmer Township.

SNIPES opened its first store in 1998 in Germany, its website said, before expanding throughout Europe and into the United States.
