An Allentown man was sentenced to life in prison for a 2022 killing in the city.
Steven Rosa, 32, was convicted in May of first-degree murder and carrying a firearm without a license in the killing of Twon Abner, 33, on July 28, 2022, Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin Holihan said in a news release.
In a separate case tried together with the homicide, Rosa also was convicted of felony counts of witness intimidation and criminal use of a communication facility. The DA said Rosa used a computer tablet while in Lehigh County Jail to persuade a witness not to testify in the homicide case.
Lehigh County Judge Robert Steinberg sentenced Rosa to an additional 10 to 20 years in prison for those charges.
Rosa also is serving a state prison sentence following a conviction for a robbery that occurred after the murder.
Abner was shot in the 500 block of West Allen Street. Despite lifesaving efforts, he was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
