An early Thursday shooting in Aldan involved police.
There were no official details yet Thursday morning, but police radio traffic showed:
Officers were dispatched to the first block of South Clifton Avenue shortly after 3:30 a.m. The original call from someone at that residence was for a ride to an address in Upper Darby.
An officer arrived at the address to check out the situation, and moments later shots were fired. Other units in the area immediately responded and quickly appeared on scene asking for an ambulance.
Within a couple minutes, one officer said, “tourniquet applied.”
The scene was quickly secured and medics were able to come in.
Originally, the medics went en route to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, then changed the destination.
Nearly two hours later, an ambulance was dispatched to the borough police headquarters for an injured subject. It was unclear whether that was related to the call on South Clifton Avenue. The injured person was taken to a local hospital via a BLS truck.
