Representing the Wyoming Valley Women’s Club, Anna Elmir, president, and Cindy Mitchell, scholarship chair, attended the Pittston Area High School Awards Night Program in June.
Paige Bittman and Jacob Ivey, Pittston Area graduates, each received a $1,000 scholarship from the club.
Each year, the Wyoming Valley Women’s Club holds its major fundraiser, which is a Luncheon/Fashion Show. All funds raised from the Fashion Show are used for scholarships for local high school graduates who are college-bound.
Paige Bittman will attend Clemson University this fall, and Jacob Ivey will attend Misericordia University.
