Route 329 Cementon Bridge closure scheduled for late August bridge replacement work | Traffic

WHITEHALL TOWNSHIP, Pa. –Officials say the Route 329 Cementon Bridge in Whitehall Township will be closed in late August for bridge replacement work. 

The bridge will be closed starting at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 21, until 5:00 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 24 for bridge repairs being done by PennDOT contractors. 

Detours will utilize Main Street, Kreidersville Road, Walnut Drive, Route 248, Blue Mountain Drive, Route 145, and 2nd Street, according to officials. 

Authorities say that rain will not cause delays to the work.

In late July, the last of the old Cementon Bridge was dismantled. 

The new bridge opened in December 2025 on Route 329 as part of an ongoing replacement project.
