MOOSIC, Pa. (KTRE) – Former Central Heights Blue Devil Duke Ellis hit his 10th double of the season in Scranton/Wilkes Barre’s 10-5 loss to Rochester Thursday.
Batting ninth and starting in center field, the 28-year-old batted 1-for-4 with a run. Ellis doubled in the fifth inning and scored on a subsequent home run.
Through 232 at-bats, Ellis has scored 46 runs and is batting .237.
Scranton/Wilkes Barre (60-48) is in second place in its division. The RailRiders continue the series against Rochester Friday at 6:05 p.m.
