Historic opera house in Allegheny County partially collapses

TARENTUM, Pa. —

Part of the historic opera house in Allegheny County partially collapsed Wednesday.

According to our partners at the Trib, part of the Tarentum Opera House crumbled.

Broken glass and windows were visible at the site, and the area has been blocked off as officials assessed the stability of the building.

Weather, rainwater, and age are being considered as factors in the initial investigation of the collapse.
