‘Back 2 School Bash’ benefits Berks County students with free supplies and activities | Homepage Top Stories

FLEETWOOD BORO., Pa. — The Berks County community is getting students ready for the upcoming school year.

The 5th annual “Back 2 School Bash” hosted by Glory to Glory Church in Kutztown kicked off at Fleetwood Park Sunday afternoon.

Students from kindergarten to middle school picked up free book bags, school supplies, gift cards and more, all while enjoying fun activities.

The goal is to support families, and help every child feel excited and prepared for the new school year.

“Instead of just going to church not doing anything, we want to help the community and help where they really need it. Supplies are very expensive, especially now,” Pastor Saul Hicks said. 

All of the items were donated to Glory to Glory Church in Kutztown, and the church then distributed the supplies.

This year– more than 500 book bags were given away to students across the community.
