EXETER. LUZERNE CO. (WOLF) — Back-to-school season is just around the corner, and students in the Wyoming Area School District won’t be empty-handed when they return to the classroom this fall, thanks to the Kiwanis Club of Wyoming Area and their Stuff the Bus event.
The Stuff-A-Bus event was held outside of the Wyoming Area Secondary Center in Exeter and saw several donations from local residents to stuff the bus for the second year in a row.
Jess Yurek, President of the Kiwanis Club of Wyoming Area, says the annual Stuff a Bus drive helps relieve the burden on local families and ensures each student has the supplies they need to succeed in the classroom this fall.
“This year we’ve gotten plenty of backpacks already, notebooks, folders, pens, pencils, crayons, markers and everything the kids are going to need for school,” Yurek said.
Yurek says that if folks were unable to donate this afternoon, the Kiwanis Club of Wyoming Area has an Amazon Wish List, and if you would like to provide a donation of supplies for a Wyoming Area student, you can find the link to that Wish List by clicking here or going to the Kiwanis Club of Wyoming Area’s Facebook page.
