Scrap yard fire causing smoke in North Philadelphia on Sunday – NBC10 Philadelphia

A scrap yard fire in Philadelphia’s Hunting Park neighborhood was sending smoke into the air on Sunday evening.

The fire sparked at a scrap yard at the 3800 block of Old York Road.

NBC10’s cams on top of the Loews Hotel in Center City and Temple University caught the fire from the sky at around 8 p.m.

As of 8:30 p.m., officials told NBC10’s Aaron Baskerville that the fire was under control.
