A second person has died following a vehicle crash into a pond at Mount Airy Casino Resort on July 29.
The Lehigh County coroner’s office reported Jeanette Radzikowski, 89, of Dickson City, died Friday at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Muhlenberg from blunt force trauma injuries sustained during the incident.
John Radzikowski Jr., 82, also of Dickson City and the driver of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene, Monroe County Coroner Thomas Yanac said at that time.
Investigators determined Radzikowski’s vehicle hit a small curb and became airborne. Because of decreased grading between the curb and the pond, the vehicle didn’t make contact with the ground but went directly into the pond, where it sank.
The investigation is ongoing, according to the coroner’s office.
