Officials have identified a Schuylkill County man killed Friday in a crash on Route 309 in northern Lehigh County.
Keith Staines, 52, of Tamaqua, was driving a tanker truck about 3:30 p.m. in the area of Route 309 and Gun Club Road in Lynn Township, when it was involved in a crash with a tractor-trailer, according to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio.
Staines was pronounced dead at the scene about 4:10 p.m., the coroner said. An autopsy completed Monday showed that his death was caused by multiple blunt-force trauma, with the manner accidental.
Photos shared to social media showed the tractor-trailer was flipped on its side, partially resting on top of the cab of the tanker.
