LOWER NAZARETH TWP., Pa. – A construction materials and equipment supplier has established its first distribution center on the East Coast, and it’s in the Lehigh Valley.
White Cap Supply Holdings recently celebrated the grand opening of its new facility at 4770 Hanoverville Rd. in Lower Nazareth Township.
The company called the 480,940-square-foot building, which it refers to as its Bethlehem Enterprise Distribution Center (EDC), a major investment in its national supply chain network.
“Bethlehem is a community that builds, and we’re proud to be part of it,” said Tracy Rosser, White Cap’s Chief Supply Chain Officer, during the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
White Cap also announced a donation of $5,000 each to the Hecktown Volunteer Fire Company and Upper Nazareth Fire Department to support first responders.
The Bethlehem EDC currently has a workforce of 66, with plans to grow to more than 70 as operations expand. The facility serves 67 White Cap branches across 13 states.
White Cap’s only other EDC is in California.
The company, established in 1976, is based in Georgia and has 575 branches across North America with more than 12,000 employees supporting approximately 200,000 customers.
According to its website, White Cap provides concrete accessories and chemicals; tools and equipment, building materials and fasteners; erosion and waterproofing products; and safety products to professional contractors.
