PLAINS TWP. — State Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski, D-Wilkes-Barre, is hosting Unclaimed Property Week at his Plains Township district office, 1325 N. River St., Suite 106. It began Monday and will continue through Friday, with staff available each day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Pashinski’s staff will be on hand throughout the week to help residents search for and locate unclaimed funds being held by the Pennsylvania Treasury and assist them with the claim process.
The service is free and open to everyone; residents are encouraged to stop by the office to see if they have unclaimed money waiting for them. Unclaimed property can include forgotten bank accounts, uncashed checks, insurance proceeds, utility deposits and other financial assets.
